Karmit Sheth is a distinguished legal and governance professional with over 11 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. He currently serves as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of the Company and as Head – Legal for the entire KP Group, where he leads legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance initiatives.
He has successfully driven complex legal transactions, including IPOs, QIPs, foreign investments, and large project financing deals. His core areas of expertise include contract management, litigation management, M&A, SEBI and corporate law compliance, electricity laws, and corporate restructuring. He has represented the company before key regulatory bodies and judicial bodies, securing crucial judgments and ensuring legal safeguards for critical infrastructure projects.
An accomplished academic, he holds a Master of Business Laws (MBL) from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, is a qualified Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Gujarat University. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree and has completed several advanced certifications in negotiation, EPC contracting, electricity laws, dispute resolution and sustainability reporting.
