Mrs. Indu Gupta Rao is an accomplished engineer and management professional with over three decades of diverse experience across industry projects, multinational corporations, consultancy, and academia in India, the USA, and the Netherlands.
She holds an MBA, two PhDs in Management and Governance of Industry and Institutions and has completed her post-doctoral research at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).
Throughout her career, she has driven innovation in design, processes, systems, and organizational strategy, creating technology-enabled solutions that have enhanced institutional efficiency, quality, and growth. She has successfully led large teams, contributed to institution building, and enabled strong industry–institute collaborations.
Her pioneering research in the Indian diamond industry, coupled with her work in academic leadership, has been widely recognized. She has received numerous awards from industry, government, and academia for innovative leadership, community service, and research excellence, including the Prominent Alumni Award from NIT Jaipur.
